The Challenge.
A $100-million-a-year, non-profit organization with an outsourced accounting department established a secondary business unit to grow and expand in the marketplace. With this new entity, the organization needed to gain more control over its accounting and financial operations, and decided to bring these key back-office functions in-house.
As the outsourced provider worked on the transition, many difficulties were encountered in phasing new personnel into the organization and maintaining consistency in accounting processes.
The Solution.
Ajilon Finance Solutions established a relationship with the executive members of the organization and offered experienced project professionals to manage the transition of the department. We provided a controller and two assistant controllers to serve as consultants for the six-month department re-build period, allowing for seamless business operations, while also providing time for the organization to recruit its own full-time personnel.
During the engagement, our experienced professionals delivered consistent results, established critical accounting processes and created a back-office model upon which the non-profit organization could expand. Most importantly for the client, they were able to effectively re-establish their in-house financial operations and continue business as usual.
